EARRINGS: Coral Birds in Cages
My boyfriend is partially responsible for the title of this pair of earrings. He noted that from a distance the branch coral looks like birds perched in wire cages- and, indeed, he is right.
The coral branches (birds) are caged in ellipses of multi-sized mobile brass rings. From the cage tops dangle brownish-gold freshwater pearls, glass teardrop beads in burgundy, and turquoise seed beads.
They make a slight and cheerful tingling sound when the wearer moves around- hence, these caged birds really do sing.
